So, you’ve made the decision to run for office – congratulations! If you’re wondering about next steps, the below resources are an excellent place to start.  

Defining your “why.” It's important to narrow in on your message and communicate why you are the right person to run.

Finding your political home. Every woman encounters different challenges on the campaign trail, based on her age, race, sexual orientation, and a myriad of other intersectional factors. The Ascend Fund’s national partners offer resources specifically tailored to address those intersectional identities.

Building relationships. Getting involved with your local and state political party is a crucial step on the path to public office. They are able to offer support and guidance based on the on-the-ground situation in Mississippi.
